Our Mission

The mission of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to preserve, protect, and enhance the park assets of the greater community of Eureka Springs and to manage them in ways that maximize their benefits to present and future generations.

The Eureka Springs City Council created the Parks and Recreation Commission in December of 1980.

The Commission is established under the authority of A.C.A. 14-269-104.

Each commissioner shall be appointed for a term of five (5) years.

LAKE LEATHERWOOD PARK ATTENDANT

The Park Attendant position assists the Park Manager with a variety of tasks related to the operations of Lake Leatherwood City Park, primarily in the “Day Use” area, consisting of the campgrounds, cabins, marina, and playground areas.  Duties include booking cabins and campsites, retail sales, and general customer service for park visitors.

 

Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent and have at least one year of retail or customer service experience.
