Fishing

Fishing and boating fans will be glad to know that Lake Leatherwood City Park provides a paved boat ramp and a handicapped accessible kayak and canoe launch.

Lake Leatherwood is home to blue gill, crappie, catfish, large mouth bass, and minnows. Remember, to maintain the lake’s calm serenity, there is a “no-wake” requirement when operating a motorboat.

*Please make sure you have washed your boat off before putting it into the lake to help us ward off invasive plant species.

The well-stocked Bait Shop has fishing poles, bait, tackle. t-shirt, stickers, and an assortment of sundries for sale.
