TREE AND SHRUB GIVEAWAY!

The Peel Compton Foundation supports the Eureka Springs Tree Planting and Giveaway Initiative

The Walton Family and Peel Compton Foundations are supporting an ongoing effort by the City of Eureka Springs Tree City USA Committee and the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission to advance Urban Forestry efforts through new tree plantings in public spaces.

Recently, Chris Fischer and the Parks and Recreation team planted 12 trees around our parks and spring gardens that included these tree species: Redbud, Dogwood, Hophornbeam, and Ohio Buckeye.

We’re also excited to announce a giveaway of 200 trees and shrubs at the Lake Leatherwood Ballfields on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 8:00-9:00 AM, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Available species include:

25 American Beautyberry (pictured)

25 Black Currant

25 Elderberry

25 Arrowwood Viburnum

25 Ozark Witch Hazel

25 Smoketree

25 Blackgum

25 Chickasaw Plum

It's likely the trees and shrubs will go fast, so please plan to arrive at the giveaway start time to get your favorite!
